The 1st Greek Moorfields Alumni (GMA) meeting in Spetses News Forum Administrator 3 posts GMA-forum Jun 24, 2022 The 1st Greek Moorfields Alumni (GMA) meeting was held in the historical island of Spetses with unprecedented success. The scientific programme included mystery cases, surgical innovations, controversies with a lot of interaction among the members of the club and the distinguished Moorfields professors. Lyndon da Cruz, Sajjad Ahmad and Adnan Tufail supported generously the meeting and we all enjoyed their inspiring presentations and their precious comments. Business meeting also took place with the participation of the Medical director of Moorfields Eye Hospital, Louisa Wickham. Strengthening of the relationships between GMA club and the mother institution, along with collaboration in clinical, research and teaching projects was discussed and will be encouraged. A task force of three GMA members and two Moorfields consultants was decided to take on this task. The social programme was also remarkable. Beautiful beaches, lovely restaurants, speed boats, and above all the chemistry among the members of the club and their Moorfields mentors and consultants was the recipe to success for an unforgettable weekend.
